Packem Umasree is a pioneering recycler and plastic packaging manufacturing company committed to sustainability and circular economy principles. Founded in 2022, it is a joint venture between Umasree (India) and Packem (Brazil), with a bold vision: to become the global leader in sustainable packaging solutions. With India already a hub for FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container) manufacturing, the partnership was established to create the country’s first plant dedicated to producing 100% sustainable FIBC bags entirely from post-consumer recycled PET (PCR).

Our flagship product—100% sustainable FIBC bags made from recycled PET—is engineered to match the performance standards of virgin polypropylene while significantly reducing environmental impact. These FIBCs cater to industries such as agriculture, polymers, minerals, food, chemicals, and construction. In addition, we manufacture hot-washed clear rPET flakes, supplying high-quality recycled raw materials to global recyclers and converters.

The plant has a capacity of 6000 MT per annum for rPET FIBCs and 14500 MT per annum for rPET flakes. In the last year of operations, we have already recycled over 3000 MT of PET waste into high-performance packaging, contributing meaningfully to plastic circularity.

We proudly export to the UK, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, USA, Brazil, and serve customers across India. Our operations are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, and further strengthened by globally recognized certifications and frameworks including GRS (Global Recycled Standard), ISCC PLUS, BRCGS (Packaging Materials), and EN 15343. We are also aligned with leading sustainability and compliance platforms such as CDP, EcoVadis, EFSA compliance frameworks, and EFIBCA quality standards—demonstrating our commitment to transparency, traceability, product safety, and responsible sourcing.
