We are proud of our tradition and the successful company that has grown from it. When Gerhard Mewes designed his first capping machine in his garage at home in Wolfsheim, Rheinhessen, more than 40 years ago, the future of MEWES GmbH was still uncertain - except for his vision, which he steadfastly realized. From the very beginning, the focus was on the development of demand-oriented and efficient product innovations.

Soon after, production began in the company's own factory building on the Wolfsheim site with just a few employees. By the early 1980s, Gerhard Mewes had already expanded the product portfolio to include filling machines and sorting systems. As a provider of ideas and one of the innovation leaders in the industry, he consistently developed his plants further in the direction of increasing technical performance and automation. This was the beginning of the continuous growth of MEWES GmbH, which still has a lot of potential:

• Top team: the team of more than 40 highly qualified employees in total ensures flexible, fast and cost-effective order processing at the Wolfsheim site.

• Global marketplace: Sales, installation and service of MEWES filling and capping lines as well as special machines now operate worldwide and have established themselves excellently as a permanent fixture in international markets.

• Everything hand in hand: Design, machining, mechanical engineering, welding technology, control cabinet construction, programming - all in-house as well as selected subcontractors are additional guarantees for the high quality standards and on-time production in our own factory halls.

This includes consulting, planning, commissioning and instruction as well as quick assistance in case of emergency.

MEWES GmbH has always remained a family business and now receives its sound decisions from the second generation of entrepreneurs.
