Packaging in 5–50 kg units
One of the key areas of DREWMAX Sp. z o.o.’s operations is the automation of the packaging process for bulk products. Our weighing and packaging machines ensure smooth and precise dosing of the packaged products.
Weighing and packaging lines
Our lines are designed for packing products into multi-layer paper bags with gusseted bottoms, and polyethylene bags (pre-made and FFS). We offer both semi-automatic lines (with manual bag feeding) and fully automatic lines, in which the machine independently retrieves empty bags from a hopper.
The sealing process is automatic and ensures a tight seal, even with very fine materials, thanks to the use of a double-fold system for the top edge of the bag before sealing, or the sealing of a foil insert in multi-layer bags.
Weight control and labelling
In response to requirements regarding packaged materials, we integrate checkweighers into the lines, which weigh each bag as it moves along the conveyor belt. Bags outside the specified weight range are automatically rejected.
Additionally, the lines can be equipped with label applicators with printers, enabling labels to be applied to both empty and full bags. This solution allows information to be printed onto a pre-prepared label and automatically applied to the bag that has passed the weight check.
Palletising and securing pallets
Our range also includes palletisers that enable the even, stable and aesthetically pleasing stacking of bags on a pallet. The machine automatically retrieves pallets and spacers from built-in magazines.
The greatest advantage of palletisers is the stable formation of layers thanks to the use of several types of clamps, which prevents the bags from shifting and the formation of the so-called ‘Christmas tree’ effect. Once palletising is complete, the pallet is automatically transferred to a wrapper or hooding machine, and can then be labelled.
Process automation and efficiency
The greatest advantage of our fully automatic lines is the complete automation of the packaging process, based on a single integrated control system.
The operators’ role is limited to replenishing empty bags, thread, label rolls, pallets, spacers and stretch film. The minimal operational requirements allow for a throughput of up to 800 bags per hour.
Packaging in Big-Bags
Another area of DREWMAX Sp. z o.o.’s operations is the design and manufacture of machines for packaging bulk materials in Big-Bags. As a manufacturer of industrial machinery, we can adapt our solutions to the existing layout and current machinery of the plant. In the seed industry, the ability to pack seed into Big-Bags is particularly important, which is why we offer flexible line configurations tailored to our customers’ actual needs.
Alternating operation of the Big-Bag packing line with the weighing and packing line
By adapting to the existing machinery in the production hall, we can position two of our packing lines under a single feed conveyor and select the product route using a two-way diverter. This solution enables both machines to operate alternately.
A buffer hopper or an additional diverter can be installed above the Big-Bag filling line, allowing for the configuration of an additional Big-Bag filling line operating alternately with the first.
Automated Big-Bag filling stations
If high Big-Bag packaging throughput is required, the Big-Bag line can be equipped with a buffer tank, a load cell tank scale (net weighing), an automatic pallet and divider magazine, and a roller conveyor system. The Big-Bag station is additionally equipped with a semi-automatic spout onto which the Big-Bag apron is suspended, automatic slings and a Big-Bag inflation system.
Integrated control system
The control system, developed by our industrial automation specialists, is another element ensuring that the production line achieves its target operating parameters. In our lines, we integrate equipment supplied by other manufacturers, including granulators, mixers, mills, feeders and other devices that do not have their own control systems. All equipment forming part of the installations we deliver communicates with one another via a single common control system. The equipment is connected via an industrial communication protocol, which enhances operational reliability and facilitates diagnostics in the event of a fault.
